Went to Peace haven(old folks home) today.The residents were very friendly-->at least they clapped after each of our performance.The original plan was to sing Break Away and perform a skit,but the residents keep requesting us to sing.Soon,we were running out of songs,so we ended up singing the school song and national day songs.Later on,some of us continued singing while other interact with the residents.I'm not good at dialect at all but i manage some speeches to speak in dialect,if they had eaten and that we could understand them but might have problems replying them.We didnt play any games...T.T...Next,we gave out the food we brought them: biscuit, milo 3 in 1 pack, horlicks...,i offered to help them make their milo,but they were very protective of their packets of milo and didnt accept my offer.The nurse whispered to me that they would just open the packet and eat the powder directly,cause they have a poor memory.I really pity them alot.Soon,its time for us to go.To end off,we sang "yue liang dai biao wo de xing",the situation was really embarrasing cause only i remembered the lines.Then we said our goodbyes to them n went back to school.I seriously think that its a meaningful day,and i hope those residents enjoyed our performance.=D
