ROD and Cadet's Night ended smoothly yesterday, and yeah many people cried. I felt terrible as the IC of the last activity with our ex NCOs and yet making the mistake of not bringing my nametag when I reminded everyone to bring theirs troubling our ex NCOs once more. I'm sorry for marching really badly, banging badly, being inattentive, forgetful, clumsy and always being the source of trouble,sorry for always not being able to live up to your expectation, and sorry for being the worst kind of cadet you can find. During the last TCS at there, I felt damn guilty. Seniors, you had done nothing wrong, if there were any wrongs, they lie in us.
When I first notice my name among the 26 platoon mates in the name list containing the names of those who are chosen to join NCC, honestly I was surprised. I had always suck at any form of sports and had expected to land up in Chess Club which was my first choice in the list of 3 CCAs that we wanted to join. Anyway, fate had arranged it this way thus I attended the first session of NCC held at mini forum. I always thought of NCC to be a a solider-like CCA where one could drive tanks, shoot baddies and do combat training. The commanders would always be burly and big sized guys which are very fierce and extremely scary but I was proven wrong. From senior gadis's kindness in helping us try out the uniform since she had helped me with the laser shooting gun thingy during the CCA showhouse to senior delight's patience in recording the sizes of the uniform when I keep getting the sizes wrongly, thank you. I had always thought that I would always be stuck in the corner where nobody would ever notice my existence but you had pulled me out of there, thank you. I thought that I will never make any friends, but you had brought me my platoon mates that really rawk, thank you. Lastly, thank you for accepting us as your cadets, treating us equally and always forgiving us for our mistakes.
Thank you for being our part A NCOs. Thank you for always being there for us. Thank you for spending your last days in Crescent on us. Thank you for everything from the knock it downs to the scoldings to the sick jokes and all the joy you both had brought us. You were what made our life as Alphas worthwhile, thank you.
